About the role
Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform continuous patient assessments
- Manage airways and monitor hemodynamic status
- Control pain and nausea effectively
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary team to recognize and respond to complications
- Ensure safe patient transitions of care
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Relevant clinical experience
Skills
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and patient management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
- Excellent communication skills for patient and family education
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia protocols and complication management
