PACT Outpatient Staff RN

About the role

The Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides and/or supervises direct patient care, coordinates care, and educates patients on self-management and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Delivers competent, evidence-based care to primary care patients.
• Oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants - as appropriate to the setting.
• Leads the provision of nursing care to patients with complex care needs using the nursing process in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Applies clinical knowledge/judgment to lead staff involvement in planning, decision-making, and evaluating outcomes within the immediate practice setting.
• Functions as a leader with demonstrated outcomes for the immediate practice setting.

Requirements

• Basic English language proficiency.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception for those who meet basic requirements but lack the required licensure.
• 2 years of relevant RN experience, preferably in medical-surgical or ambulatory care settings.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field with BSN.

• Leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies.
• Experience in managing complex client care beyond the immediate practice setting.
• Ability to distinguish basic and shades of colors.
• Ability to distinguish basic colors.
• Ability to hear with or without aids.
• Mental and emotional stability.
• Working with infectious patients, including those with COVID/TB.
