Packing Production Associate (3rd Shift)

About the Role

A Hand Packing Operator ensures products are packed according to customer requirements, including daily setup, maintenance, changeovers, and accurate packing processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate transfers with correct item numbers and quantities.
• Report quality issues, equipment problems, material shortages, or incorrect formulas to the supervisor.
• Document metal detector rejects per policy.
• Maintain production standards and ensure a continuous process across shifts (tag in/tag out).
• Keep the work area clean and organized at all times (5S standards).
• Complete passport labels and apply them to pallets as finished.
• Turn in paperwork to the supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Perform allergen cleanings and obtain quality assurance sign-off.
• Adhere to all process procedures, material usage guidelines, and safety policies.
• Set up equipment and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Communicate and document efficiency standards while reporting inefficiencies.
• Pack products by labeling, mixing, forming boxes, and applying code dates per specifications.
• Complete HACCP forms, material consumption, and RAF reporting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft AX, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-organized with high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
• Basic math skills (measurement, percentages, ratios).
• Ability to read labels, formulas, and directions.
• Effective communication and writing in English.
• Dependable and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Standing on a concrete floor for extended periods.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (hair net, latex gloves, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
• Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Required to work weekends during peak season and mandatory overtime as needed.
