The plant organizes events such as a summer barbecue, a family picnic at a local amusement park during downtime, and a holiday dinner for all three shifts served by the leadership team. There's a strong sense of community and pride among employees, with many having family ties to the company. Interesting facts include the plant's former name, Cheeri-Oats, the transportation of grain by boat, and a fire that occurred a day before its opening in 1940.
