Packing Foreman

About the role

The Packing Foreman at Pennex, located in Leetonia, OH, works a night shift with rotating weekends from 6pm to 6am. This position works 3 days one week, 4 days the next, and includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Determines amount of packing material and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and ensures packing materials are available.
• Captures packing activity per the production and shipping truck schedule.
• Schedules trucks for shipments to customers or outside processors and completes all forms, paperwork, manifests, bill of lading as required.
• Develops new part packing work instructions to meet customer requirements.
• Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems as an individual or on a team and assists workers in solving work problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in packing/shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, speak effectively, calculate figures, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, interpret diagrams, and solve practical problems.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.
• Must have regular attendance.
