Schedule

AM shifts: Monday - Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Shift times may vary based on the position.

Pay

Starts at $22.50/hour. The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.

About the role

Packing Associates are responsible for moving, sorting, vacuum-sealing, and packaging goods at our food processing kitchen and warehouse. Packing Associates work well independently and in a group setting, with and without supervision, and can carry out all responsibilities in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Move, sort, vacuum-seal, and package goods in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Meet with supervisor(s) to review information pertinent to job performance, including daily assignments, business levels, lost or damaged items, etc.
  • Verify that all items on the Packing List and/or Sales Order are organized to be loaded onto the truck properly
  • Label all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Able to work independently with or without supervision
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and/or managers
  • Organize the warehouse and packing facility daily
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager(s)

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, energetic, and highly motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Able to provide documentation to work in the United States legally
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

  • Frequently work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and push a cart weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Constantly exposed to both hot and cold temperature conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures, use restaurant safety words during all shifts, and ask for assistance as needed
  • Practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury:
    • Cutting gloves when cutting
    • Back support belt when lifting heavy items
    • Goggles and long gloves when working with chemicals
    • Other PPE as needed (if applicable)
