Packing Associate (AM Shift)

About the role

Packing Associates are responsible for moving, sorting, vacuum-sealing, and packaging goods at our food processing kitchen and warehouse. They work well independently and in a group setting, with and without supervision, and can carry out all responsibilities in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Moving, sorting, vacuum-sealing, and packaging goods in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
• Meeting with supervisor(s) to review daily assignments, business levels, lost or damaged items, etc.
• Verifying that all items on the Packing List and/or Sales Order are organized for loading onto the truck
• Labeling all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
• Working independently with or without supervision
• Maintaining ongoing communication with supervisors and/or managers
• Organizing the warehouse and packing facility daily
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed at all times
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager(s)

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with or without supervision
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to provide documentation to work in the United States legally

Physical Demands

• Frequently works in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear
• Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and push a cart weighing up to 100 lbs
• Constantly exposed to both hot and cold temperature conditions
• Follows all safety procedures, uses restaurant safety words during all shifts, and asks for assistance as needed
• Practices proper body mechanics and uses appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury, including cutting gloves, back support belt, goggles, long gloves when working with chemicals, and other PPE as needed

Pay

Starts at $21.50/hour. The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.

Schedule

AM shifts: Monday - Saturday, 5:15 AM - 1:00 PM. Shift times may vary based on the position.
