Packing Associate - 3rd Shift $19.50/hr

About the role

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment markets, Dana provides original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Responsibilities

• Take product from bulk containers and pack into individual containers.
• Read and follow work orders.
• Attach labels to individual containers.
• Use and maintain tape machines and weight scales.
• Post production on the DSI computer system.
• Push completed shipping containers onto the conveyor.
• Pick parts from primary bulk locations to fill orders when required.
• Clean workstations and sweep floors at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to lift skids onto the pack-off conveyor.
• Overhead lifting.
• Stooping/bending to floor level.
• Reaching and lifting.
• Twisting left/right.
• Walking and standing for up to 8+ hours.
• Full range of motion involving neck movements and wrists.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to use a calculator for accurate counts.
• Ability to use computers to post production.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work as a team player.

Additional duties may be required to support the business and will be directed by a coach.

Schedule

Each employee receives two, ten-minute paid breaks and 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.
