Packer/QA Tech - Weekend Night

About the role

Join Utz Quality Foods, a leader in the snack food industry, as a Packer/Quality Assurance Tech at our High Street facility in Hanover, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent weekend nightshift schedule and the chance to work in a team-oriented environment where your contribution matters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect packaged items and alert machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
• Inspect package weight.
• Verify code, dates, and price.
• Examine package for proper seal.
• Report any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Pack product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers and place them onto skids/conveyors.
• Prepare items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA, and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assist as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.

Requirements

• Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques to support and assist as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and communicate any safety issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule

Friday through Sunday, 5:55 PM to 5:55 AM.
