PACKER II

About the role

Prepare aluminum extrusions for shipment by computer processing, packaging, and labeling to ensure the required shipping standards are met. The desired candidate will be a dependable team-oriented individual with a strong focus on maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Pack aluminum extrusions into boxes or crates with regard to shape, color, and quality as required by order
• Enter order data into computer
• Complete all required quality checks of materials
• Apply correct shipping labels to boxes
• Pack brake metal radius, flat sheet, and non-standard items as required by the order
• Clean packing area to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness within the department
• All other duties assigned by your Supervisor and/or Manager

Qualifications And Skill Requirements

• High school diploma/GED (minimum)
• Manufacturing or warehousing experience preferred
• Good Math/Computer skills
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. during shift
• Must be able to lift, stand, bend, and move for extended periods

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.06 to $19.23, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Schedule

The travel required for this position is 1%.

• Occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
