Packaging Testing Technician

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. Eurofins laboratories work with the world's biggest companies to ensure product safety, authentic ingredients, and accurate labelling.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer samples and record information in Shipping and Receiving Log
• Conduct Transit and Package Integrity Testing per ASTM Standards, ISTA standards, or customer protocols
• Add sample information to Laboratory Inventory Management System; may include generating a Work Order
• Prepare Test Evidence Report
• Perform entry-level data review and data reporting following good documentation practices
• Maintain records of packaging testing
• Monitor and provide customer support regarding testing services provided
• Update customers on test status, updates, and results
• Report any deviations observed to Operations Manager
• Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Packaging, or Packaging Emphasis; OR High School/Associate Degree with 3–5 years of previous experience in packaging technical experience
• Production testing or related industry is desired but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy is required
• Knowledge of ASTM standards is desired
• Ability to lift bulky items up to 30 lbs, climb, bend, and reach without restriction is required

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Candidates within a commutable distance of San Jose, CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay

USD 18 – USD 25 per hour
