About the role
The Packaging Support team member is responsible for efficiently packaging product inventory while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role involves counting, labeling, assembling, bagging, and boxing items into final product packaging, performing basic visual inspections, and reporting any product or equipment issues or discrepancies to supervisors. The role also includes maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area and collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Package product inventory efficiently and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Maintain high-quality standards during shifts, including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced
- Work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
- Communicate effectively with various levels within the company
- Report any damaged, spoiled, broken, or unsatisfactory product or equipment to supervisors
- Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
- Perform other related duties as requested by supervisors
Requirements
- At least 6 months of related experience and/or training in a production or packaging environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Must obtain all state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
- Willingness to submit to a background check
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Must be 21 years of age or older, as required by state regulations
