Packaging Supervisor- 3rd Shift (must have experience)

About the role

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervision of the shift supervisor. Coordinates with management to ensure production activities are as efficient as possible while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules, and attendance.
• Evaluate and recommend employees for hire or termination.
• Enforce company safety, break, and lunch policies.
• Actively resolve concerns while adhering to company policy and behavioral standards.
• Track and communicate employee performance; provide disciplinary or corrective action as needed.
• Train and coach operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition.
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency.
• Enforce quality guidelines for products, FDA regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) certification.
• Review and assist with all quality control documents.
• Ensure food safety of production.
• Communicate cross-functional shift activities to the operations team daily.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management.

Requirements

• Experience in giving direction to employees and operating/diagnosing equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both direct reports and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.

Preferred skills: Mathematical skills, bilingual proficiency.

Pay

$60,000 - $74,000 per year.
