Packaging Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring products are packaged accurately, safely, and on schedule. This role is responsible for meeting packaging performance expectations, maintaining inventory and packaging materials, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Support SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity) expectations for packaging metrics and present results, including problem-solving activities when goals are not met.
• Organize and prioritize daily work to ensure all products are packaged and shipped on time.
• Verify serial numbers match equipment and pick tickets prior to packaging.
• Follow all packaging work instructions and notify leadership when documentation requires updates.
• Maintain packaging material inventory levels and utilize established replenishment processes as needed.
• Communicate low inventory concerns to leadership to prevent production interruptions.
• Support service packaging activities as required.
• Maintain assigned tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other support teams to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and keyboard proficiency.
• Ability to learn and utilize X-Rite tools and software programs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 90% of the workday.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Experience using common hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing more than 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals while following all applicable safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree, certificate, or training from a certified electronics program.
• Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
• Experience working with quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
