Packaging Specialist
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Packaging Specialist (NH-2032-02) at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) - 448th Supply Chain Management Wing in Layton, UT. This position requires applicants to be current federal employees and submit their most recent SF50 for verification.
About the Role
You will provide technical and engineering packaging support for major weapon systems prime. Your responsibilities include developing packaging data and creating packaging design drawings for contracting officers. You will also participate in preservation and packaging planning, programming, and forecasting for prime assets, and support hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
- Develop packaging data and design drawings for prime assets
- Participate in new or modified weapon systems preservation and packaging planning
- Support hazardous and non-hazardous material for Air Force packaging
- Resolve packaging problems with prime assets through participation in Supply Discrepancy Report program
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & Maintain a Security Clearance
Qualifications
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques
- Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals
- Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations
Skills
- Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices
- Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution
