About the role
This position involves providing technical expertise, maintaining master data, and addressing packaging-related complaints. It also entails interpreting and guiding on packaging development, managing packaging materiel master data, and resolving packaging issues.
Responsibilities
- Interprets and provides guidance on packaging requirements and specifications.
- Maintains master data and resolves general packaging problems.
- Researches and reviews historical and current data to identify discrepancies, incompatibilities, and redundancies.
- Applies proper labeling and marking procedures according to policy.
- Develops packaging requirements and specifications.
- Supports contracting officers, supply item managers, and quality assurance representatives with technical packaging issues.
- Resolves discrepancies, complaints, and conflicts related to preservation, packing, packaging, palletization, and marking.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Tour of duty: Flexible.

- Appointment subject to suitability and fitness determination.

- Must complete DoD certification and other requirements.
Qualifications
- Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience that equips you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Education: Graduate degree or equivalent graduate education leading to such degree.
- Combination of education and experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
Benefits
The position requires DoD Acquisition Engineering and Tech Management(N)/ETM foundational acquisition certification within required timeframes and achievement of 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2 years.
Pay
Salary range is determined by the Federal Pay Scale and is competitive with industry standards.
