Overview of the Role

Our east coast retail client is seeking a Packaging Project Manager to join their team! The Packaging Project Manager supports the full lifecycle of packaging and creative projects, ensuring workflow efficiency from initiation through development, production, and final delivery. This role requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain schedules, resolve obstacles, and uphold quality standards.

The Basics

Duration: 7 months
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location/Onsite Requirements: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week, Tues/Weds), based in Framingham, MA

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of project management experience supporting creative teams, preferably within packaging, design, or production environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize in a shifting environment, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and workflow management skills, including the ability to lead meetings, make decisions under time constraints, and navigate ambiguity.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with creative development, print production, processes, and timelines.
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-through and the ability to identify and address obstacles proactively.
  • Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage workflow across packaging and creative projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify priorities, allocate resources, and balance project workload.
  • Oversee project milestones across development, production, and photography studio stages to ensure timeline and specification alignment.
  • Forecast resource needs, identify risks, and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead project discussions and ensure productive, solution-oriented communication.
  • Maintain focus and clarity when managing complex or ambiguous situations, removing obstacles to drive results.
