Packaging Production Supervisor, 2nd shift

About the role

Packaging Supervisor responsible for providing team leadership to production employees, overseeing staffing, training, safety, conflict resolution, maintenance coordination, production efficiency, communication, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of team leadership to production employees.
• Maintain proper employee staffing levels.
• Utilize continuous team building techniques to sustain high motivation and morale.
• Organize employee training processes to ensure qualification for all production operations and training on safety procedures, company SOPs and GMPs.
• Resolve conflicts and administer disciplinary actions when required.
• Interact with the Maintenance Department to ensure equipment is constantly maintained and fully operational for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain targeted production efficiency for individual production lines and contribute to total plant efficiency.
• Solidify open communication with employees and support departments.
• Implement the company's organizational and operational principles.
• Coach the production team to establish performance measures to achieve designated objectives and deliver business results.
• Conduct regular communication meetings with team leaders and the production team to recognize successes and review action plans to resolve open issues.
• Analyze production reports and data to identify adverse trends and create corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
