Main Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment.
  • Equipment may include, but is not limited to:
    • carton erectors
    • partition inserters
    • product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU)
    • foil dispensers
    • top closers
    • palletization equipment
  • Manual responsibilities include:
    • Loading, building and making boxes
    • Hand packaging of bottles
    • Loading labels
  • Maintenance includes:
    • Perform routine cleaning, and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Material Handling:
    • Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials
  • Documentation:
    • Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks
    • Perform changeovers of diverse packaging equipment (eg case erector, partition inserter, top sealer, …)
    • Applies correct labels
    • Performs quality check consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels and packaging integrity for defects
    • Houseskeeping

    What You Will Enjoy Doing

    Main Responsibilities: Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to: carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU), foil dispensers, top closers, palletization equipment. Manual responsibilities include loading, building and making boxes, hand packaging of bottles, loading labels. Maintenance includes performing routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations. Material Handling involves loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials. Documentation entails accurately documenting records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks, performing changeovers of diverse packaging equipment, applying correct labels, performing quality checks consisting of visual inspections of overall product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects, and houseskeeping.

    Education/Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent
    6 months of manufacturing experience preferred

    Additional Requirements

    Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours
    Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
    High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area

The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move or push /pull up to 55 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).
