Packaging Operator II – 3rd Shift (10:45 pm - 7:00 am – Sunday - Thursday)
About the Role
This position is based in North Little Rock, AR, and works on the 3rd shift (10:45 pm - 7:00 am, Sunday - Thursday). The role involves creating and packaging cosmetics, ensuring production and processing activities run efficiently and safely within established quality and production standards through machinery maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Total operation of manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines and presses, including quality control, material procurement, line setup, and adjustment of products within specifications.
- Perform light preventative maintenance and communicate as required to operate the line.
- Coordinate “changeovers” in production and request assistance from Line Mechanics in the “changeover” process.
- Train and assist Packaging employees, observe work being performed to ensure proper procedures are followed, cosign pertinent records, and maintain a smooth flow of production in the work area.
- Assist in department operations with particular care toward GMPs, sanitization, quality control, safety, housekeeping, production control, and L’Oréal operating procedures.
- Attend training programs necessary to maintain the high standard of L’Oréal employees.
- Cooperate with management in the development and implementation of processes for improvement, such as quality, line and plant efficiency, and housekeeping.
- Perform changeovers, including sanitization of parts, to establish GMPs.
- Manage movement, documentation, and supply of incoming components and bulk to packaging lines and finished products and materials from the lines to the staging area.
- Handle all production and inventory controls, including ordering the next scheduled job, recording inventory, personnel, production, and inventory close-out transactions.
- Maintain ongoing upkeep of the line, including housekeeping.
- Inform supervision of irregularities.
- Perform all other work relative to Packaging as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge of specific production/processing areas, machinery, and product items.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Able to do repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
- Willing to work off shifts, including overtime.
- High School education or GED equivalency preferred.
Qualifications
- Must communicate effectively in the English language (written and verbal).
- Must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
