Packaging Operator I

Job Summary

Schedule 3rd Shift - Monday - Thursday - 800 PM - 630 AM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)

Base Rate $14.50/Hour ($1 shift differential)

About the Role

Packaging a variety of products according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
• Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
• Manual weighing and counting of product.
• Limits: Loads product into packaging machines, Monitors machines for proper function.
• Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Places packaged product into boxes.
• Applies identification labels to boxes.
• Accurately completes departmental paperwork.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work Environment: Packaging - Bagging Fast-paced up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise.
• Physical Demands: Packaging - Hand Light, lifting up to 50 lbs.
