Job Summary
About the role
This position is a Packaging Operator I role scheduled for 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (subject to business needs and potential overtime).
Responsibilities
- Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
- Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
- Manual weighing and counting of product.
- Loads product into packaging machines.
- Maintains monitoring of machines for proper function.
- Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Places packaged product into boxes.
- Applies identification labels to boxes.
- Accurately completes departmental paperwork.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Benefits
- Shift Differential: $1.00 for hours worked on 2nd Shift.
Pay
- Base Rate: $15.25/Hour.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (subject to business needs and potential overtime).
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work Environment: Packaging - Bagging, Fast-paced up to 8 hrs/day, exposure to loud noise.
- Physical Demands: Packaging - Hand, light lifting up to 50 lbs.
