Packaging Operator I

Job Summary

About the role

This position is a Packaging Operator I role scheduled for 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (subject to business needs and potential overtime).

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
• Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
• Manual weighing and counting of product.
• Loads product into packaging machines.
• Maintains monitoring of machines for proper function.
• Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Places packaged product into boxes.
• Applies identification labels to boxes.
• Accurately completes departmental paperwork.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Benefits

• Shift Differential: $1.00 for hours worked on 2nd Shift.

Pay

• Base Rate: $15.25/Hour.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (subject to business needs and potential overtime).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work Environment: Packaging - Bagging, Fast-paced up to 8 hrs/day, exposure to loud noise.
• Physical Demands: Packaging - Hand, light lifting up to 50 lbs.
