3rd Shift - Monday - Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM (based on business needs and job completions, which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends).
Responsibilities
- Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
- Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
- Manual weighing and counting of product.
- Loads product into packaging machines and monitors machines for proper function.
- Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Places packaged product into boxes and applies identification labels to boxes.
- Accurately completes departmental paperwork.
- Participates in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors.
- Wears required personal protective equipment and supports safety committee activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
- Observes all safety procedures and policies, reports unsafe conditions, and uses equipment properly.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work Environment: Fast-paced packaging/bagging environment up to 8 hours per day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. May participate in a Health and Wellness Program (HCP).
Physical Demands: Light hand packaging duties with lifting up to 50 lbs.
