Packaging Operator I

About the role

Set up and operate liquid, powder, and tablet filling machines and scales to package pharmaceutical products on the 3rd shift in Somerset, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Perform job functions as per written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures, Packaging Batch records, cGMPs, and verbal instructions from supervisors and line leaders.
• Document all packaging activities in packaging batch records, log books, and other appropriate cGMP documents.
• Ensure products are manufactured and packaged according to quality standards and product specifications through daily execution of batch master records.
• Work at line operating speed and standards to meet production and quality goals.
• Perform equipment cleaning, room cleaning, inspection, sanitization, material transfers, labeling, and palletization.
• Perform documentation of activities as per GMP requirements.
• Follow batch record instructions during the packaging process, adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure the final product meets high-quality standards.
• Work in a team environment to achieve target outputs.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with filling equipment for liquid, powder, or tablet operations.
• Powder or tablet filling experience preferred.
• Able to lift 25–70 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to report progress and changes.
• Team player adaptable to changing duties.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow timelines.
• SAP experience preferred.
