About the role
Leads and performs a variety of process duties according to batch record and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in the pharmaceutical manufacturing department, including operating machines and assisting in the packaging of products.
Responsibilities
- Follows all policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
- Operates and/or learns to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment: Cazzoli, Cobot, Combi, Unit Dose Fillers, Packaging Lines.
- Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are completed correctly and kept current.
- Adheres to company uniform and gowning policies.
- Reports process or equipment problems to area supervision.
- Performs changeovers and set-up of equipment for processing operations.
- Performs basic equipment troubleshooting and maintains mechanical aptitude.
- Cleans and maintains packaging rooms and equipment.
- Follows established department SOP’s and complies with all Company safety rules and regulations.
- Appropriately utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment procedures.
- 2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Familiarity with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of SOP’s, equipment, and safety practices.
Skills
- Ability to speak and read in English.
- Ability to perform basic math computations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with others.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Employees in this position are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, vision monitoring, and lifting equipment or materials up to 30 pounds.
