What You Will Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

  • Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment, including carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU), foil dispensers, top closers, and palletization equipment
  • Load, build and make boxes, hand package bottles, and load labels
  • Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Load and unload packaging materials such as corrugate, containers, or other raw materials
  • Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or visual quality checks
  • Perform changeovers of diverse packaging equipment (e.g. case erector, partition inserter, top sealer)
  • Apply correct labels
  • Perform quality checks consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects
  • Maintain housekeeping standards

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting 55 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours
  • Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
  • High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area

While performing the duties of this job:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push and pull, reach with hands and arms, and very occasionally climb or balance
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move or push/pull up to 55 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision
  • It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA)

Schedule

  • 6 am to 6:30 pm, (2-2-3) 12-hour rotating weekends
