Packaging Operator - Days (Biospringer)

About the role

Biospringer is a division of Lesaffre, a global leader in the fermentation of microorganisms for various applications including food, healthcare, and industrial biotechnology. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of packaging operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that dried product meets all specifications and follows all safety, quality, and food safety procedures.
• Manage and monitor up to 2 packaging equipment.
• Train and assist in other departments as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and maintain dryer infrastructure, report maintenance needs, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Communicate with management about team member performance and detect and address process variations.
• Work independently and as part of a team, covering shifts and assisting in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn new tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and write.
• Forklift certification required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging processes is preferred.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
