Packaging Operator - Bulk

About the role
We are seeking a Packaging Operator - Bulk at Active Minerals International, a Kaolin Clay production facility in Aiken, SC. This position packages orders to work order requirements.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret packaging work orders.
- Identify proper materials to be used in packaging bulk bags.
- Set up bulk bagger for proper weights and operating condition.
- Produce bulk bags on required pallets or slip sheets in a neat arrangement.
- Operate stretch-wrap machine.
- Operate forklift as needed to move pallets or clean up hopper.
- Perform housekeeping around work area.
- Prepare placards with product name and lot number.
- Collect and prepare lot composite samples for the QC lab.
- Adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong moral and ethical standards.
- Must be able to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to operate forklift; requires good eye-hand coordination and smooth, simultaneous hand and foot control.
- General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a production environment.
- Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet.
- Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously.
- Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard.
- Vision and a sense of hearing are also required.

Pay
Entry rate: $19.47 per hour. U.S. market-based salary range for this role is [$19.47 - $19.88]. In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
Schedule
6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
(Once trained, day shift while in training)
