About the role

PL Developments (PLD) is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. The Packaging Operator supports the efficient operation of the blister and cartoning lines by verifying and stocking components, operating machinery, and inspecting packaged products for accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company rules and directions given by the Line Leader or Backup Leader.
  • Assist Material Handlers in bringing scheduled components to the blistering or cartoning lines.
  • Verify components upon entry to the line and stock components according to the lowest lot number first.
  • Review packaging specification and pick slip during start-up to ensure product is packaged as specified.
  • Operate machines in assigned zone and communicate any issues related to product quality, safety, or machinery malfunctions to the Line Leader.
  • Foster a teamwork environment by supporting and respecting peers.
  • Assist in monitoring and training new employees for On-The-Job Training (OJT).
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free line throughout the day.
  • Provide 100% inspection of labeled bottles, IFCs, blisters, and master shippers for correct Lot # and expiration date.
  • Clean up assigned zone first during changeovers and assist coworkers to expedite the process.
  • Count returns and rejects by weight or physical count.
  • Deliver returns to the reconciliation area and place components in the specified area.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others.

Physical Requirements

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, gases, electrical components, and equipment (safety protocols and protective gear provided).

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 07:00 am – 05:30 pm.

Pay

Hourly rate starting at $17.00/hour.
