About the Role

Responsible for filling customer orders to ensure items are delivered to the destination in a manner that meets company standards. The position involves palletizing product and maintaining proper warehouse organization while adhering to all safety rules established by PetIQ.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and timely.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines; use required safety equipment.
  • Maintain quality, cleanliness, and organization of the work area and equipment.
  • Pick customer orders from inventory using a pack list on a pack line.
  • Count cartons or containers to crosscheck and validate order accuracy.
  • Complete orders efficiently and accurately; perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Stack product on pallets and transport to the palletizing area.
  • Verify counts on incoming product to ensure proper inventories.
  • Understand and apply stacking patterns.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Use basic computer and math skills for accurate product counting.
  • Apply knowledge of box sizes and standards.
  • Manage time effectively throughout the shift to maintain product flow.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret bar graphs.
  • Dexterity to use hands, fingers, and arms for handling or feeling objects.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use fifty (50) pounds of force to move objects.
  • Physical ability to stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods.
  • Occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Adequate hearing to receive detailed oral information.
  • Adequate visual acuity to read documents and assess cleanliness.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Daily lifting of product and boxes ranging from 1 to 50 pounds, from table level to floor and above the head.
  • Ability to arrange and adjust product and supplies on pallets.
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to continually bend and stoop for approximately 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to maneuver within tight spaces (e.g., 18 inches) when working on machine platforms.
  • Ability to use small hand tools for minor maintenance or adjustments.
  • Ability to work in temperature ranges from 80–100°F in summer and 35–65°F in winter.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
