About the role

The Packaging Operator position at this Medical Device Company requires a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of industry work experience. Key responsibilities include manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products, ensuring compliance with procedures and quality specifications. The role also involves performing finished product packaging, inspecting in-process packaging, maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with inventory counting, participating in safety audits, and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products.
  • Perform finished product packaging as required to satisfy all customer, internal, clinical, and other demand.
  • Ensure finished product is packaged in accordance with procedures and Quality specifications.
  • Inspect in-process packaging, components to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities related to product packaging, including but not limited to device history records and inventory counts.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations required to assist in completion of batch records.
  • Absorb hazardous waste as appropriate.
  • Handle hazardous waste as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs. to crate and box larger instruments.
  • Experience using pallet jacks or other shipping/receiving dock equipment with larger packages/pallets/material.
  • Team player mindset - Work closely with Production teams to deliver on time to customers.
  • High quality and detail-oriented.

Nice to haves

  • Workflow/process improvement mindset.
  • Past SAP/data entry experience.
