Job Description

This position operates, monitors, and adjusts packaging equipment to ensure safety, food safety, quality, and production standards are met. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain sanitation and ink-jet coder operations
• Monitor line flow rates and product feed through baggers
• Adjust vibrators for optimal bagger performance
• Order packaging materials
• Record packaging machinery efficiencies and fill out reports accurately
• Ensure complete packaging quality by checking weights, seals, codes, and glue patterns
• Complete Centerline Inspections (CILs) and Centerlines
• Rework product as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• X degree in X required, or High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certifications required
• Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Skills and Experience

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
• Understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
• Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
• Basic math functions required
• Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Physical Environment/Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and turning
• Exposed to a noisy environment varying from hot to cold temperatures
• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day, including: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, and allergies
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance for both ground-level and high-place work
• Ability to operate work-related equipment

Pay Transparency
