Packaging Machine and Warehouse Shipping Operator

About the role

A packaging machine and warehouse shipping operator will fill canisters and process orders on the packaging machine for custom vitamin packets as well as other types of packaged products. This position may also handle special projects within packaging, operations, and warehouse shipping as needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Work cohesively with Quality Control to uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); GMP orientation will be required.
• Fill canisters and restock other components as needed.
• Process orders for packaging and prepare final boxes and products for Quality Control review.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts and preparation.
• Fill vitamin and supplement orders to be shipped.
• Retrieve mail from mailbox.
• Ensure all orders to be shipped are filled by 4:15 PM.
• Stock shipping supplies and prepare them for use the next day.
• Organize UPS boxes under tables and on shelves.
• Complete all receiving tasks and turn in invoices.
• Load and drive product requests from the main store location.
• Rotate stock and maintain an organized warehouse.
• Assist in monthly physical inventory counts.
• Maintain shipping supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• GMP experience and/or training is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Warm, friendly, and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work without constant supervision.
• Strong time-management skills to complete tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.

Physical Demands

• Ability to use a keyboard to enter and retrieve data.
• Good eyesight to view computer monitor and phone.
• Ability to walk up and down staircases throughout the day.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit in a desk chair or stand on one's feet for extended periods.
