Packaging Line Associate

Packaging

• Understand the job assignment and all SOP’s involved
• Stack bags ranging from 4 oz. to 50 pounds of weight
• Support Shift Supervisor with pre and post work duties
• Seal and prepare various types of bags
• Move and set up equipment as needed
• Drive forklift or operate machines as trained and instructed

Maintenance

• Clean, sweep and support Shift Supervisor with maintaining a neat and clean work area
• Maintain area free of clutter or hazardous spills
• Arrange and stock bags according to instructions
• Stack and organize supplies as requested
• Auxiliary cleaning or light maintenance duties as requested

Safety

• Learn and understand all company safety rules and procedures
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Follow instructions for rest, rotation and proper lifting techniques
• Complete all company safety training
• Report to Shift Supervisor any equipment or facility issues that may affect the safety of workers

Workplace Conditions

• Job requires lifting capacity of 4oz to 50 pounds
• Noise levels are moderate to high – hearing protection is provided upon request
• Dust levels are high – employees are offered masks upon request
• Slippery floors – employees are required to wear shoes with rubber soles

Communication

• Maintain good communication with Shift Supervisor
• Treat co-workers and managers with respect. Avoid use of foul language
• Respond to company request for information, attend meetings and trainings as requested
• Bring problems or issues to Shift Supervisor for resolution
• Notify Shift Supervisor of unplanned absence or tardiness prior to shift or as soon as possible

• Understand the finish product goals and take interest to achieve quality
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaborate with all team members
• Follow instructions and ask for help when the task is not understood

• Follow all rotation, rest and safe lifting work routine
• Meet quality standards as instructed for the job
• Support Shift Supervisor with special tasks, projects and assignments
• Follow safety procedures and take interest on helping others follow safety standards
• Handle equipment and machines with responsibility and care (If required to handle equipment or machines)
