About the role
The Packaging Lead will oversee the efficient operation of the packaging department, ensuring compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team of packaging technicians and collaborating closely with other departments to optimize production processes.Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the packaging department to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of packaging technicians, providing guidance and training to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements that streamline production and reduce waste.
- Ensure all packaging materials and equipment are properly maintained and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, or business).
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or food-grade packaging processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
