Packaging Engineer

Role Overview The Packaging Developer is responsible for designing and developing custom packaging solutions for automotive parts, ensuring secure transportation between suppliers and manufacturing plants. They collaborate with various stakeholders to gather feedback, gain buy-in, and ensure timely and successful implementation of packaging designs. The role involves evaluating, testing, and validating packaging solutions to minimize risks and meet supply chain and quality requirements, contributing to multimillion-dollar budget targets. Key Responsibilities Lead projects to develop new packaging, aiming to reduce complexity and costs.Secure stakeholder commitment and feedback on packaging guidelines.Utilize 3D software for decision-making and designing pack plans.Present technical ideas and lead communication to obtain buy-in.Manage change points, documentation, and development forms.Troubleshoot packaging issues impacting mass production. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.Relevant automotive or manufacturing experience preferred.Strong project management, communication, and technical skills.
