Packaging Engineer

About the role

The Packaging Developer is responsible for creating custom packaging solutions to securely ship automotive parts, considering supply chain, quality, and handling requirements. They evaluate, test, and validate design changes to minimize risks and ensure successful implementation, contributing to multimillion-dollar budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop new packaging in coordination with stakeholders, reducing complexity for cost efficiency.
• Use 3D software to evaluate change points and build pack plans.
• Secure stakeholder buy-in through technical presentations and communication.
• Manage change point documentation and complete development forms.
• Lead activities supporting project and operational goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues impacting mass production.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s in engineering or 6 years relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, and technical skills.
