Packaging Engineer
About the Role
UST is searching for a Consumer Product Packaging Engineer located in either Summit, NJ or Fort Washington, PA.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with packaging suppliers
- Manage cost improvement initiatives
- Conduct and manage packaging testing
- Initiate and review change control documentation; write technical justifications
- Work closely as part of cross-functional teams
- Support and coordinate packaging activities as the primary packaging contact with all relevant internal parties, suppliers, and contract manufacturing sites
- Develop and provide necessary documentation for NDP such as Development Plan, Technical Review forum, APR statements, technical memos, etc.
- Serve as packaging representative on cross-functional teams to plan and coordinate all package engineering related functions related to specification changes
- Work with R&D and Ops to develop any technical validation plans required to initiate specification updates

Required Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years professional experience
- BS Degree in Packaging Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
Preferred Experience
- External Manufacturing experience
- Skin Care, Cosmetics, FDA/GMP experience
- Component Development: Bottles, Tubes, Caps, Closures, Pumps
- Packaging Validation Line Trial experience
- Packaging Specification development, review and implementation
Compensation
Role Location: New Jersey. Compensation Range: $71,000-$107,000. Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience.
