Packaging Engineer

About the role

Join an innovative robotics engineering team developing flight-critical avionics and packaging solutions for next-generation robotic systems. This is a 5-month contract position located in North Reading / Westborough, MA (onsite) with a duration through 12/31/2026 and potential for extension or conversion.

Pay

$48.95/hr. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5+ years of mechanical/packaging engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience with packaging materials, structural design, and documentation
• Ability to develop Packaging SOPs and Work Instructions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISTA and ASTM packaging test standards
• Experience with TOPS, CAPES, or EasyCargo
• Familiarity with palletization, transportation/logistics, and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
