Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineered packaging projects
- Design protective packaging, containers, dunnage, and shipping racks
- Develop CAD designs, technical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, NPI, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams
- Develop efficient and cost-effective packaging solutions
- Drive expendable-to-returnable packaging and sustainability initiatives
- Manage packaging testing, validation, vendors, budgets, risks, and changes
- Improve packaging standards, KPIs, quality, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Packaging, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of CAD, GD&T, technical drawings, and tolerance analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and injection molding
- Familiarity with materials including aluminum, steel, composites, and foam
- Familiarity with ASTM, Mil-Spec, or similar packaging standards
- Strong understanding of packaging testing and validation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience with sustainable packaging practices
- Experience with regulatory compliance in packaging
