Essential Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance and equipment reliability testing for packaging equipment in our manufacturing locations in the U.S.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance for packaging equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic)
- Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on site, virtually and via phone
- Conduct operator & mechanics training in plant on processing operations
- PLC and HMI programming
- Analyze existing formats to identify areas for improvement
- Optimize and improve packaging systems to reduce waste e.g., downtime, shrink loss, and inefficiencies
- Establish and maintain a continuous positive relationship with internal customers including support and follow-up
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve centerlines and changeover repeatability initiatives
Other Required Responsibilities
- Up to 50% travel required to our facility in Platteville, CO
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in technical engineering
- 1-2 years with minimum experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance in industrial environment
- Automation knowledge
- Programming skills on Siemens Tia Portal, and we will value Step7, RsLogix500, RsLogix5000 and Wonderware Intouch HMI knowledge
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Genuine interest in techniques and customer service with focus on quality
- Customer oriented and result oriented
- Organized person, team player and able to work with standard processes
- Dairy milk product and equipment technology knowledge will be considered as a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical ability to work the entire shift on the plant floor working in a cool, wet environment with temperatures ranging between 34-38 degrees
- Standing, walking, climbing, repetitive bending, repetitive stooping, repetitive reaching with arms and repetitive grasping with hands and fingers
- Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment working around production machines, warehouse equipment, forklifts, large trucks, and tankers
