Packaging Designer & Pre-Press Specialist

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Review client-submitted artwork for resolution, bleed, and color accuracy (CMYK/PMS)Create and modify technical dielines for various box styles (Mailer, Rigid, Food-grade)Develop high-fidelity 3D mockups and digital prototypes for client approvalBuild and maintain a library of design templates and brand assetsBe positive, collaborative, and communicative when discussing design revisions with clientsIdentify potential structural issues in custom designs and offer creative solutionsEnsure all files are optimized for Digital, Offset, or Screen printing processesCapture design specifications and enter them accurately into production logsUtilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools to improve the rate of successful "first-pass" printingSet appropriate expectations regarding design turnaround and proofing stagesPerform quality checks on digital proofs to ensure they align with client expectationsOther duties as assigned Job Requirements Professional experience in Packaging Design or Pre-Press operations requiredExpert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopMust possess exemplary verbal and visual communication skillsStrong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory specifically for printOutstanding attention to detail and ability to catch minor errors in complex filesAbility to work independently and manage multiple design deadlines simultaneouslyKnowledge of structural packaging software or 3D rendering tools a plusUnderstanding of material weights (10pt to 28pt) and their impact on design
