Packaging Coordinator

Overview

To ensure constant quality monitoring during production. Coordinates workflow by monitoring packaging work force. Helps packaging employees in the department perform their duties correctly. Help to operate at or above designated run speeds using the identified lean personnel packaging model provided in the training procedures. Ensures QC protocols are followed diligently by coordinating the efforts of the Pregis Material packers.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Verify that all SAP materials are correct and accounted for on all jobs based on the envelope format being produced and as instructed by the line operator.
• Monitor all jobs for manufacturing defects and report any non-conformance issues.
• Monitor packaging for SOP defects. Corrects and reports all non-conformance issues.
• Coodinates and monitors efforts of all packers around Quality monitoring, QC testing, and hourly pulls.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Aid in creating an environment of improved performance with an attention to quality and concern for customer satisfaction.

Physical Characteristics

• Frequent standing.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
• Occasional sitting, stooping.

Education And Experience

3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role preferred, but will consider comparable industry experience
