Packaging Clerk

Position Summary

The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) is an engineering and custom cable manufacturing company based in Boston, Massachusetts. We are AS9100D and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified and provide custom cable design and assembly services to defense and aerospace customers, including Raytheon, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, and The United States Government.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• No prior experience required
• Previous warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not necessary
• Basic understanding of workplace safety and packaging procedures
• Willingness to learn company packaging and shipping processes

Job Responsibilities

• Pack finished products according to company packaging standards
• Place products into appropriate boxes, containers
• Label and prepare packages for shipment
• Assemble boxes, packaging materials, and shipping containers as needed
• Count and verify items before packaging to ensure order accuracy
• Organize and stage completed packages for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized packaging work area
• Replenish packaging materials such as boxes, tape, labels, and protective materials
• Absorb and assist production teams by packaging completed jobs as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and packaging guidelines
• Report damaged or missing items to a supervisor
• Absorb and assist with general warehouse or production tasks when required

• Regularly stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Regularly crouch, stoop, or reach
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
