Key Responsibilities
- Through the use of the inventory control system, this position is responsible for printing tickets and placing them on pallets and totes of product.
- This position will maintain records of production and held and reworked product.
- This position will be responsible for cleaning food contact surfaces, floors, framework and the remainder of the assigned work area.
- This position is also responsible for managing and directing the team in accomplishing the following:
- Safe and efficient palletizing of product
- Transporting of product and supplies
- Ensuring all paperwork, forms, reports, and computer data entry are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
- Complying with all sanitation standards
Typical Education
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent
Relevant Experience
- The individual in this position must exhibit initiative, creativity, and self-motivation.
- This person will also be required to demonstrate an ability to maintain awareness of current operating conditions in order to constructively generate action.
- Strong leadership skills, positive work relationships, and effective coaching are key to the success of the Packaging Area Coordinator and the packaging team.
Other Information
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in a manner to successfully perform the job duties.
- Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and counting).
- Must be able to perform basic computer skills (turn computer on, use a mouse, save a document, and open a file or program).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in a safe and proper manner.
- Must be able to use up to 50 pounds of push/pull force needed to push/pull barrels weighing up to 450 lbs using a rolling device.
- Must be able to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in extreme environments: hot or cold temperatures and wet and slick floors.
- Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate PPE, includes but not limited to, full wetsuit, boots, chemical gloves and face shield or goggles.
