Packager - 1st shift

About the Role

Packages finished food products at the end of the manufacturing process in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Checks for correct packaging boxes and containers.
• Ensures product date and weight are within established guidelines.
• Seals filled product packages and boxes.
• Examines containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging meets company specifications.
• Removes defective products or packages from the production line.
• Assembles product containers on an assembly line.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working with people, items, and equipment that are at the facility.

Requirements

• Production or assembly experience is preferred.
• English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with items in excess of 20 lbs. is required.
• Requires walking and standing for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

• Refrigerated food manufacturing plant environment that is wet and cold, with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F.
• Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities.
• Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
