Packager - 1st Shift

About the role

Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices with a focus on high growth and ingenuity. As a Packager, you will apply strong fundamentals of packaging in the medical industry to ensure customer demands are met in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Verify part count, laser etch number, label, and packaging specifications on incoming orders prior to packaging
• Prepare jobs using the correct packaging specification
• Clean and package parts for shipment
• Operate an impulse and heat sealing machine satisfactorily
• Ensure all paperwork is correct and counts are accurate prior to clocking off the job
• Perform daily and monthly cleaning of the packaging area
• Maintain standard sanitary procedures while working in the packaging area
• Cross-train in shipping and receiving
• Train as the backup for creating labels for orders with the Packaging Lead
• Drive a company vehicle to make deliveries as needed
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and count to complete necessary paperwork
• Good math and computer skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including early, late, or weekend shifts
• Previous experience with Job Boss, BarTender, or Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
