Package Handler (Warehouse like)

About the role

Package Handlers are responsible for loading, unloading, and sorting packages in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles with packages of various sizes.
• Sort packages according to destination and size.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
• Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Physical stamina to lift and move packages.
• Basic computer skills to input data.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (part-time position).

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
• Good communication skills to interact with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Upto $18.05 - $19.05 (Per Hour)

Schedule

Part time employees work one shift a day; full time employees work two shifts. Shift lengths vary based on package volume, generally part time employees work between 3 and 6 hours a day, and full time employees can expect to work between 6 and 10 hours. Overtime is paid after 40 hours a week.
