Package Designer

We are looking for a Package Designer to join a collaborative creative team in New Jersey. This long-term contract position is ideal for a visually driven designer who enjoys turning ideas into compelling packaging concepts and preparing production-ready files.

About the role

The role calls for someone who can balance creativity with precision while contributing to several active projects in a deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging artwork from early concept development through final production-ready execution.
• Partner with designers and cross-functional stakeholders to move multiple assignments forward at the same time.
• Create visually engaging design solutions with thoughtful use of color, composition, pattern, and typography.
• Prepare and refine files for print production while maintaining accuracy and brand consistency.
• Organize project priorities effectively to meet timelines without compromising design quality.
• Contribute fresh ideas and creative input during team discussions and project reviews.
• Support the broader art department with design updates, revisions, and production-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating packaging, graphic, or related visual design work is required.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
• Hands-on experience with package design or a strong understanding of packaging development principles.
• Ability to manage design assignments from initial direction through completed deliverables.
• Strong visual judgment with close attention to layout, detail, and overall presentation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Self-directed approach to problem-solving and comfort collaborating with team members at different experience levels.
• Exposure to licensing-based products or basic 3D design tools is a plus.
