Pack Operator III
About the role

Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times and understand and follow all personal and equipment safety policies, GHP and Food Safety/HACCP, Sanitation policies.
- Be involved with the safe operation and safety improvement of the plant.
- Responsible for understanding and following all personal and equipment safety policies, all GHP and Food Safety/HACCP, Sanitation policies.
- Follow all Business Unit and procedures.
- Be available/willing to work overtime as needed.
- Lift 50 lb. flour bags routinely.
- Comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Responsible for all phases of packing operations on assigned machines.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of all packages produced.
- Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of all packaging equipment and packing floor areas.
- Complete Master Sanitation duties, daily checks, and other critical duties daily.
- Become qualified for all other warehouse functions, including but not limited to, labor, forklift operation, and RTE operations.
Qualifications
- High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with all packaging equipment and ability to work safely around machines while in operation.
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
- Willingness to keep assigned work areas neat and clean.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in an orderly fashion.
- Safety consciousness and work in a safe manner.
- Dependability and cooperativeness.
- Ability to get along well with other employees.
Physical requirements and working conditions
- Able to ascend and descend stairs, multiple times per day.
- Climb ladder, step and extension.
- Able to lift to 50 pounds and exert 20 pounds of force.
- Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a dust mask.
- Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).

Shift Differential
The Company provides a shift differential to eligible employees who are assigned to and work shifts outside of standard business hours. Shift differential is paid in addition to the employee's regular base hourly rate and is included in the calculation of the regular rate for overtime purposes.
